UN General Assembly called for Russian troops to withdraw from Transnistria

Photo: Evromidan2014.com The UN General Assembly on Friday evening adopted a resolution introduced by Moldova with a demand to withdraw Russian troops from Transnistria. This was reported on the website of the General Assembly. 64 countries voted for the resolution, against 15, 83 abstained. The initiators of the draft resolution, originally proposed by Chisinau, subsequently included Georgia, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Estonia and Ukraine.
