The authorities of Peru came up with a way to overcome poverty in the country: they decided to sterilize women who lived in poverty. The victims of forced sterilization were primarily representatives of the indigenous population who did not speak Spanish, did not have access to education and medicine. Some were lured on the operating table with deception, captivated with food and clothes, others were simply tied and sterilized by force.
