In August 2025, the 47-year-old climber Natalya Nagovitsina broke her leg when descending from the highest peak of Tien Shan and had been waiting for help for more than a week. When trying to evacuate Nagovicin, her friend died and rescuers were seriously injured. The climber failed to save: the last time she was seen alive on August 20. The Ministry of Emergencies of Kyrgyzstan has already declared her missing.
