Wartime law, long -liver
This photograph was taken in the second half of November 1922. For four years, as the war, which we now call the First World War, has ended - but then it was not the first, just the world, but until April the seventeenth, when the United States declared the war of Germany, and completely the “European war”. The people you see in the picture are dressed in the costumes of the first settlers: the case happens on the eve of thanksgiving.

1. I won't tell the whole story. After all, the meaning of any story told is not in the integrity and accuracy of the presentation, but in what particular details the narrator chooses from a myriad of others in order to bring them together into his message of truth. You can always tell only part of it. It’s surprising that of all my deceased relatives, I remember most clearly my paternal grandfather - a man about whom I know practically nothing and whom I saw, perhaps, several times in my life.
