Either we gradually get tired of being surprised, or they gradually get tired of surprising. One way or another, it has become somehow not at all interesting to follow the quirks and twists of the discursive behavior of the current government. The feeling is that this very discursive behavior has somehow already become established, trampled down, entered the granite shores, become quite predictable and immediately recognizable, or, to use the term of formalist philologists of the 20s, automated.
