It would be an exaggeration to believe that only schoolchildren and students took part in Sunday’s rally, but many commentators proceed from this. “Teenage rebellion,” some write, “lack of prospects and social elevators,” others echo. Still others—for example, Andrei Loshak—speak in the spirit that Navalny was able to reach young people by winning competition from television, learned to speak the same language with them, and thus brought them out onto the streets.
