Soldiers of the 136th motorized rifle brigade hold a rally in Buinaksk
On March 19, in Buinaksk, a group of military personnel picketed at the checkpoint of the 136th motorized rifle brigade, demanding repayment of debts. About 20 people, mostly women, take part in the action. According to them, the action will take place throughout the day. Information about the release of peacekeepers has not been confirmed
On March 18, 4 Russian peacekeepers were kidnapped by Georgian militants in Abkhazia. On March 19, information about their release appeared, but it turned out to be premature. Russia switches to summer time on the night of March 31
On March 19, the press service of Gosstandart reported that in 2002, the transition to summer time throughout Russia will take place on the night of March 30 to 31 by moving the clocks forward 1 hour. According to Gazeta.ru, summer time on Russian territory will be in effect until October 27, 2002. The transition to summer time has been carried out in Russia since 1981.
