Shot at a minibus, but hit by reputation
A criminal case has been opened against the driver who was shot at by a policeman. On Thursday evening, in the Teatralnaya Square area, a district police officer of the 2nd police department fired at minibus N 350 full of passengers with a traumatic pistol, the driver of which allegedly violated traffic rules.

Medvedev signed the law on the circulation of medicines
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed the law on the circulation of medicines. On April 12, Mr. Medvedev announced this at a meeting with the Minister of Health and Social Protection Tatyana Golikova. The law will come into force on September 1, 2010, RIA Novosti reports.

Advertisers have exceeded pre-crisis purchases of TV advertising
The largest advertisers in the first quarter exceeded the 2008 level in terms of TV advertising purchases. According to GfK Ukraine data, processed by the analytical department of the advertising agency Mindshare, Henkel, Colgate-Palmolive, Reckitt Benckiser, Unilever and other large advertisers increased their activity. The agencies note that the reason for the increased activity of companies on TV is the low cost of advertising.

The body of Maria Kaczynska has been identified in Moscow
Today, April 12, the Wiadomosci newspaper, citing Deputy Head of the Presidential Chancellery Jacek Sasin, reports that the procedure for identifying the body of the wife of the deceased President of Poland, Maria Kaczynska, has been completed in Moscow. According to the deputy head of the chancellery, now the coffin with the body of the wife of the Polish president should be delivered to Warsaw as soon as possible - this could happen by noon on April 13.

5 years to a deficit-free budget
Number 228 1 min. ... It will take Russia 5 years to reach a deficit-free, balanced federal budget. In 2009, Russia's budget deficit amounted to 5.9 percent of GDP (2.427 trillion rubles), while at the beginning of the year the government expected it to reach 8.3 percent. Russian Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin said last week that budget cuts could reach 20 percent by 2015.

15 people killed when a bus fell into a lake in Peru
Today, April 12, the Peruvian radio station RPP reported that in southeastern Peru, 15 people were killed when a passenger bus fell from a 100-meter height into Lake Titicaca. There were 50 passengers on the bus. So far, 15 bodies have been found. Several people were found alive with numerous wounds. The search for other victims continues.

Mi-8 crash in Kamchatka
On April 10, in Kamchatka, an Mi-8 helicopter was caught in an avalanche, in which snowboarding and skiing enthusiasts from Germany, Belgium and Russia went to the slope of the volcano. Ten people died, the rest were saved.

Tencent bought more than 10% of Digital Sky Technology for $300 million
Today, April 12, the Chinese Internet company Tencent Holdings Limited signed an agreement to purchase a 10.26% stake in the Russian Digital Sky Technologies Limited (DST) for $300 million. The Chinese investor will pay cash for the stake and will receive approximately 0.51% of the voting capital in DST, as well as the right to nominate one observer to the board of directors of the Russian company.

The auction for the sale of Beratona treatment facilities did not take place again
The auction for the sale of treatment facilities of JSC Beraton (Berezniki) did not take place today due to a lack of applications. The bankruptcy manager of the enterprise, Natalya Belobragina, informed Kommersant about this. The next meeting of creditors, at which a decision will be made on the further procedure for the sale of this property, according to Ms. Belobragina, will be held in May.
