G20 will wait for Europe between word and deed
Finance ministers and heads of central banks of the G20 countries expressed yesterday their intention to create a protective mechanism with a total volume of $2 trillion - this amount should come from the resources of the International Monetary Fund, as well as the European Stability Fund. However, countries are ready to finally provide funds to the new mechanism only after the EU independently accumulates €250 billion.

France placed bonds worth 7.5 billion euros
The French government placed at an auction on Monday government bonds of three different issues totaling 7.5 billion euros, Bloomberg reports. The weighted average yield of bonds maturing in 84 days with a volume of 4.206 billion euros decreased to 0.118% per annum from 0.127% according to the results of the last auction on February 20 of this year. Demand exceeded supply by 3.05 times.

Saleh officially handed over power in Yemen
Yemen's Honorary President Ali Abdullah Saleh officially abdicated power, handing it over to his deputy Abdurab Mansour Hadi. Agence France-Presse reports this. The transfer of power ceremony took place at the presidential palace in Sana'a. “I am leaving the banner of the revolution in good hands,” Saleh told his successor. Hadi, in turn, expressed hope that he would be able to meet with Saleh “in this room again.” He also announced his own two-year tenure as president.
