90,283 witnesses and victims were questioned by employees of the Investigative Committee of Russia in a criminal case initiated on May 30, 2014 in connection with the armed conflict in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine. Among them, 17,792 victims, 68,387 witnesses and 4,104 minors, follows from the decision to extend the investigation period in the case of Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko, a fragment of which was published by her lawyer Ilya Novikov.
