The head of the village of Obidimo, Leninsky district, Tula region, Olga Belova, was sentenced to three years in prison for embezzling money from fellow villagers collected for laying a water pipeline, senior assistant to the regional prosecutor Lyubov Kuznetsova told Interfax. The headman collected and kept money intended for solving economic issues. For central water supply, residents gave her more than 1.2 million rubles, but she spent this money at her own discretion.
