In Crimea, two police officers received real sentences for bribing and beating a person who reported a crime.
Former police officers from the police department in the Sovetsky district of Crimea, Sergei Onchev and Enver Kelmambetov, were found guilty of receiving a bribe by a group of persons by conspiracy (clause “a”, part 5, article 290 of the Criminal Code), abuse of power with the use of violence (clause “a”, part 3, article 286 Criminal Code) and falsification of evidence (part 2 of Article 303 of the Criminal Code).
