The head of the Serpukhov district of the Moscow region, Alexander Shestun, who is currently in the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center, went on a hunger strike due to being denied access to elections in his district, TASS reports . As the agency was told by the public monitoring commission, Shestun is protesting against being prevented from participating in elections for the post of head of the Serpukhov region and obstacles in communicating with a lawyer.
