A retired captain of the Black Sea Fleet, arrested in the case of espionage for Ukraine, said that he has been on a hunger strike for two weeks.
Captain 2nd rank of the reserve of the Black Sea Fleet Leonid Parkhomenko, arrested in November 2016 in the case of espionage for Ukraine, told members of the Public Monitoring Commission Evgeny Enikeev and Eva Merkacheva that he went on a hunger strike 18 days ago. A member of the Moscow Helsinki Group, Enikeev, wrote about this in his blog. 59-year-old Parkhomenko, who is accused of treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code), has been in the Moscow Lefortovo detention center for 20 months.
