The wife of the ex-head of the Serpukhov district, Shestun, claims that he was attacked by a cellmate in Lefortovo.
The former head of the Serpukhov district, Alexander Shestun, who was arrested in a fraud case, was attacked by a cellmate in the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center, Shestun’s wife Yulia told Novaya Gazeta. According to her, the cellmate attacked Shestun with a sharpened metal spoon. After the incident, prison staff took the attacker out to “calm him down” and then returned him to his cell. At the same time, he continued to threaten Shestun.
