A soldier from the Volgograd region received 2.5 years for beating a colleague until his spleen ruptured.
The Volgograd garrison court sentenced private Alexander Alekseev, who beat a colleague, as a result of which he had to have his spleen removed. This was reported by the Main Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee. According to investigators, in July 2019, Alekseev, “wanting to show his imaginary superiority,” pushed his colleague out of bed, covered him with a mattress and began to press him to the floor, after which he hit him in the stomach four times.
