The former mayor of Orenburg was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison for bribery with an apartment and renting out city property through a front company
The Leninsky District Court of Orenburg sentenced the former mayor of the city to 4.5 years in a maximum security colony and a fine of 15 million rubles. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee. Arapov was found guilty of accepting bribes and illegal business (point “c”, part 5, article 290, part 6, article 290, part 1, article 173.1 of the Criminal Code). He was also banned from holding positions in the civil service for five years.
