Ivan Astashin, convicted of participation in the “Autonomous Combat Terrorist Organization” (ABTO), was released from a colony in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, activist Vladimir Akimenkov reported , citing the prisoner’s mother Olga. In 2012, the Moscow City Court sentenced him to 13 years of strict regime, but this term was soon reduced to nine years and nine months. Astashin is one of nine defendants in the ABTO case. The investigation called him the leader of the organization.
