More than two hundred teachers and students of Shaninka spoke out against house arrest for rector Sergei Zuev
More than two hundred teachers, staff, students and graduates of the Moscow Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences (Shaninki) signed an open letter in support of its rector Sergei Zuev. It was published by Novaya Gazeta. On October 11, police took 67-year-old Zuev for questioning from the hospital after a hypertensive crisis. On October 13, they demanded to send him to a pre-trial detention center on suspicion of fraud, but the court sentenced him to house arrest.
