The head of the Human Rights Council, Valery Fadeev, asked the Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, to withdraw from Chechnya the investigation into the case of Zarema Musaeva, the wife of retired Chechen judge Saydi Yangulbaev. This is stated on the council's website. Fadeev suggested transferring the case to the Central Office of the Investigative Committee or to the department’s department for the North Caucasus Federal District.
