The ECHR ordered Russia to pay 347 thousand euros to women from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kemerovo and the Caucasus who were subjected to domestic violence
The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) announced a decision on complaints from 15 Russian women who, from 2019 to 2021, reported ineffective investigations into cases of domestic violence. According to the published document, women from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Chechnya, Dagestan, Kemerovo, Orenburg, Kaluga and Astrakhan regions suffered physical and moral suffering due to the actions of their husbands and partners.
