The ECHR appointed Peter Verzilov for the detention at the rally after the 2011 State Duma elections
The ECHR awarded compensation to six Russians detained on protests in 2010-2012. In all cases, the court recognized this as a violation of the right to freedom of assembly (Article 11 of the European Convention). The decision was published on the court website. Four detainees, who, after the detentions, received fines, appointed 3 thousand euros. Among them were participants in the dispersed rally against corruption in Makhachkala and the Moscow “Marsh of Equality” in support of LGBT.
