Russian military shelled Kharkov using controlled aerial bombs (CABs), one of which fell near a residential building. This was reported by the city's mayor Igor Terekhov and the head of the Kharkov region Oleg Sinegubov . Initially, two people were reported dead and 18 injured . Later, the number of dead increased to three, and the number of injured to 38.
