In the Omsk region, fines of up to 200 thousand rubles were introduced for “inducing” abortions
The governor of the Omsk region, Vitaly Khotsenko, signed amendments that introduce fines for “inducement” to abortions into the regional Code of Administrative Offences. This is understood as “forcing a pregnant woman to have an artificial termination of pregnancy by persuasion, proposals, bribery, deception or other means,” except in cases of “informing the attending physician <…> about the presence of medical indications” for abortion.
