A court in St. Petersburg arrested a man accused of setting fire to a diesel locomotive on instructions from the Ukrainian special services.
The Krasnogvardeisky District Court of St. Petersburg sent local resident Sergei Sakharov to a pre-trial detention center on charges of a terrorist attack (Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the press service of the city courts. According to security officials, on January 18, Sakharov “out of hooligan motives” set fire to a diesel locomotive at the Ruchi station near St. Petersburg. The damage from the man’s actions was estimated at 12 million rubles.
