Kazakh authorities deported 25-year-old IT developer Alexander Kachkurkin to Russia. According to the First Department publication, citing his acquaintances, before his arrest, Kachkurkin worked as a DevOps engineer and was involved in several projects, including collaborating with the American company OpenAI, a developer of GPT language models.

In the city of Prokopyevsk, Kemerovo region, a fire in a sauna killed five teenagers aged 15 to 17 years. As the regional department of the Investigative Committee clarifies , due to the rapid spread of the fire, they were unable to leave the premises and suffered carbon monoxide poisoning.

They are accused of attempting to commit sabotage, reports the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the Novosibirsk region. According to investigators, in January 2026, one of the teenagers began a telegram correspondence “with an unidentified person” and received an offer from him to commit sabotage for money.
