A participant in the war in Ukraine was sentenced to 15 years of strict regime after he beat up a drinking buddy and stole a bicycle.
The Ulan-Ude Garrison Military Court sentenced a man named Dmitry Novikov to five years in prison, who was accused of intentionally causing grievous bodily harm (clause “h” of Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code) and theft of a bicycle (clause “c” of Part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code). Mediazona found information about this in the court database. Taking into account the unserved sentence in another case, the final sentence was 15 years in a maximum security colony.

A 68-year-old resident of the Zaporozhye region was sentenced to 11 years in prison for transferring money to the Ukrainian Armed Forces
The Zaporozhye Regional Court, created by the Russian authorities, sentenced a 68-year-old resident of the occupied village of Plodorodnoye in the Mikhailovsky district of the region to 11 years in a general regime colony in the case of financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
