The Russian government is discussing the idea of a gradual increase in the retirement age from 2018, three sources told RBC at once. According to them, this issue was raised, among other things, at meetings with President Vladimir Putin. We are talking about a plan to raise the retirement age within five years, adding every year for half a year. The reform, according to one of RBC's interlocutors, is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2018.
