In Denmark, wind farms generated 140 percent of the country's energy needs
On July 9, wind farms in Denmark generated more power than the country needed. In the evening, the stations produced 116 percent of the energy, and at night, when consumption fell, 140 percent of the energy needed by the country. The surplus went to Norway, Germany and Sweden. So much energy was generated thanks to the strong winds on July 9th. According to forecasts, the wind speed was to reach 93 kilometers per hour.
