Ukraine will join the UN Security Council
Ukraine will become a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. In addition, Egypt, Senegal, Uruguay and Japan received the same powers. They will sit on the Security Council from 2016 to 2018. These countries will replace Chad, Jordan, Chile, Nigeria and Lithuania, whose terms of office will expire. Angola, Malaysia, New Zealand, Spain and Venezuela also sit on the Security Council. Their term as non-permanent members will expire in 2017.
