The statue of Hercules in France was given a prosthetic penis due to vandals
In the city of Arcachon in southwestern France, a statue of Hercules was torn off by vandals. The monument, erected back in 1948, is not the first time that this part has been lost. Therefore, the local authorities decided not to restore the missing organ, but to make a removable prosthesis. “I would not want anyone, even my sworn enemies, to go through what this statue is going through,” the mayor of the city, Yves Foulon, said at a meeting with reporters.
