35 thousand Venezuelans went to Colombia for food and medicine
The Colombian Foreign Ministry said at least 35,000 Venezuelans crossed the border between the countries during its temporary opening on July 16 at a crossing near the city of Cucuta. In Colombia, Venezuelans purchase food, medicine and basic necessities. Previously, it was assumed that the border would be opened on Sunday, but in order to avoid crowds, it was decided to do so on Saturday, reports the BBC.
