An American who killed for 22 years was sentenced to death
In Los Angeles, a court sentenced to death 63-year-old Lonnie David Franklin Jr., who was previously convicted of ten murders in 1985-1988 and 2002-2007. The jury recommended the death penalty. Prosecutors say Franklin killed seven women in the 1980s and three more, including a 15-year-old girl, in the 2000s. The oldest of those killed was 35 years old, most of the victims were shot, one was strangled. Another woman survived Franklin's attack and testified against him in court.
