A woman who had an ovary removed in childhood gave birth to a baby in London.
In London, on December 13, 24-year-old Moaza al-Matrushi from Dubai gave birth to a child, who was transplanted with tissue from an ovary removed in childhood. This is the first case of childbirth after such an operation, when the ovary was removed before puberty, writes "BBC". Al Matrushi was born with thalassemia, an inherited blood disorder. When she was nine years old, she had to undergo chemotherapy, which would have damaged her ovaries.
