In Italy, three months after the elections, a new government was formed
In Italy, a new government was sworn in, formed by the winners of the March 2018 parliamentary elections, the Five Star Movement and the League. Giuseppe Conte, professor of law, has been appointed head of government. The leader of the Five Star Movement, Luigi DiMaggio, became Minister of Economic Development, and the leader of the League, Matteo Salvini, became Minister of the Interior. They both received the positions of vice-premiers.
