Flooding in the Irkutsk region has killed 16 people, Interfax reports, citing a source in the region's health authorities. Another nine people, including a child, are missing. Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Mutko reported 12 deaths. The flooding injured 760 people, 155 of whom were hospitalized. A state of emergency has been declared in the region, and Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the region on June 30.
