Russian gold exports to the UK increased 12 times
In 2019, Russia exported 123.6 tons of gold for a total of $5.7 billion, 93% of the shipments went to the UK. RBC writes about this with reference to the data of the Federal Customs Service (FTS). Compared to 2018, gold exports to the UK increased 12 times in value terms, from $433 million to $5.3 billion. In addition, exports of platinum to the UK doubled in 2019 and amounted to $936 million, silver - 2.5 times to $100 million, RBC adds.
