Global stock markets predicted instability due to Trump's illness
The news of US President Donald Trump about COVID-19 is likely to cause volatility in global stock markets, writes CNBC. The Financial Times (FT) adds that after Trump announced the illness, the US S&P 500 index fell 0.4%, the Nasdaq Composite fell 1.5% (due to the fall of Apple, Tesla and Microsoft). Oil prices, which were falling on fears of a recovery in demand, fell even more on October 2, the FT notes. North Sea Brent fell 2.8% to $39.78 per barrel.
