Amsterdam City Hall proposes banning the sale of marijuana to foreigners
Amsterdam Mayor Femke Halsema has proposed a ban on the sale of marijuana to foreign tourists. The corresponding letter, according to NRC Handelsblad, the mayor sent to the city council. Halsema believes that in Amsterdam, when selling marijuana, a “residence criterion” should be applied. For the past few years, throughout the country, only those who are registered in the Netherlands have been able to purchase psychoactive substances authorized for sale.
