OVD-Info: Almost 6,000 People Detained at Anti-War Protests in Russia After Invasion of Ukraine
Since February 24, when Russian troops invaded Ukraine, at least 5,814 people have been detained at anti-war protests across Russia, the human rights project OVD-Info reported. Of the total number of detainees, at least 2,667 people were detained on February 27. On February 24, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation warned of liability for holding anti-war protests. But such demonstrations still take place daily in different cities of the country.
