Tata Steel has abandoned Russian coal. It was its largest importer in India at the beginning of the year
Steel corporation Tata Steel, the largest Indian importer of Russian coal in the first quarter of 2022, will refuse new purchases, reports the Financial Times, citing a company representative. Tata Steel turned to alternative sources of raw materials, as "at present, transactions with Russian suppliers and banking organizations are subject to great uncertainty stemming from international sanctions imposed on Russia," the company told the FT.
