Moscow and Lugansk became sister cities
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin visited the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic on June 3. There, together with the head of Lugansk, Manolis Pilavov, he signed a declaration on the establishment of twinning ties between the cities. An agreement was also signed on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation between the governments of Moscow and the LPR. On June 1, it was announced that St. Petersburg and Mariupol became sister cities.
