The son of the former prime minister of Dagestan was sentenced to 13 years in the case of the murder of a MGIMO student
In Moscow, a court sentenced Murtazali Medzhidov to 13 years in a strict regime, who was accused of murdering MGIMO student Tomiris Baysafa in 2018. Mejidov was found guilty by the jury. This was the second trial of the case - in 2021, the jury acquitted him, but the Moscow City Court overturned this verdict. On April 13, 2018, 21-year-old Tomiris Baisafa fell out of a window on the fourth floor of the MGIMO building. On May 3, she died in the hospital without regaining consciousness.
