World's Richest Lose Record $1.4 Trillion in First Six Months of 2022
In the first half of 2022, the combined wealth of the world's 500 richest people fell by $1.4 trillion, the largest ever, Bloomberg reports. Thus, according to the agency’s calculations, during this time, Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg lost $65.5 billion, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos lost $63 billion, Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk lost $62 billion, and Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy CEO Bernard Arnault lost $49.3 billion.
