Two former Minneapolis police officers involved in the arrest of African American George Floyd have been sentenced to three years in prison
U.S. District Judge Paul Magnuson sentenced two former Minneapolis police officers , Tou Thao and Alexander Kieng , at a hearing in St. Paul, Minnesota, on charges related to the killing of African-American George Floyd in May 2020, Reuters reports. Thao, 36, was sentenced to three and a half years in prison, and Kieng, 28, was sentenced to three years, Minnesota Attorney General Andrew Luger said.
