Kiev renamed 95 toponyms associated with Russia or the USSR. The city now has a Heroes of the Azov Regiment Street and UPA Heroes Square
The Kyiv City Council has renamed 95 streets, alleys and squares whose names were, from the point of view of the city authorities, associated "with Russia and the Soviet past." This was announced by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko. The mayor gave several examples, including renaming Marshal Malinovsky Street to Heroes of the Azov Regiment Street, Tulskaya Square to UPA Heroes Square, and Piterskaya Street to Londonskaya Street.
