Putin awarded the founder of the WarGonzo project, “military correspondent” Semyon Pegov, with the Order of Courage
Semyon Pegov, one of the so-called Russian military correspondents, received the Order of Courage. According to the Kremlin website, Pegov, the founder of the WarGonzo project, was awarded "for courage, bravery and dedication shown in the performance of professional duty." In October, Pegov was wounded near Donetsk, reportedly due to the explosion of a Lepestok anti-personnel mine. Telegram channel WarGonzo, founded by Pegov, takes a pro-Russian stance in covering the war in Ukraine.
