During the war in Ukraine, hundreds of religious buildings were damaged. Half of them belong to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church
In Ukraine, during 11 months of full-scale war, at least 307 religious buildings, including churches, mosques, synagogues, as well as administrative and educational buildings of religious communities, were damaged or destroyed. This was reported by the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience. According to the department, of the damaged religious buildings, five belonged to the Muslim community, and another five belonged to the Jewish community.
