Journalists confirm 29,217 Russian servicemen killed in Ukraine since invasion’s start
Journalists from BBC News Russia and Mediazona, working with a group of volunteers, have used open sources to confirm the identities of 29,217 Russian soldiers who have been killed in Ukraine since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. The team has added more than 1,800 volunteers, draftees, and contract soldiers to its running list in the last month. According to the researchers’ report , most of the new confirmed losses were linked to Moscow’s effort to repel Ukraine’s counteroffensive.
