UN: more than 11 thousand people died as a result of flooding in Libya
In the Libyan city of Derna, at least 11,300 people were killed as a result of flooding, CNN reports, citing a report by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. There are also 170 deaths reported in other parts of the country. According to the organization, another 10,100 residents of Derna are still missing. The UN believes that ongoing search efforts will lead to the discovery of new victims.
